SB 798, Brightly colored Airsoft and BB Guns

Hi there, I am posting this in order to get support in stopping SB 798. This link will take you to Pyramyd Air and a petition to stop the state from having all airsoft and BB guns painted bright orange.http://www.pyramydair.com/SB798.shtml   I personally feel that this does nothing to keep anyone safe.  These guns are just that, guns, they fire a projectile and therefore are dangerous. Kids should not be given the false impression they are safe just because of appearance.  If parents are not willing to educate their children about safe firearms practices, then the State should not make an attempt at legislating common sense.  I  feel these guns play a small role in the safe handling practices I teach my daughter.  They are light weight and mimic, fairly well, the size and function of most of the common firearms, allowing her to be familiar with the same level of respect owed to any firearm.  We are all too familiar with these attempts to push firearm ownership out of favor and out of California.  Lets stop this, Thanks everyone your time.

Hope the link works, ;0)

I agree that this is just one

I agree that this is just one more piece of stupid legislation by our dumbo legislators. I signed the petition. Thanks for posting it.

This is another "feel good"

This is another "feel good" piece of legislation that will probably pass. Cops will pause when they see a bright red gun thinking it is an airsoft. I hope we don't get dead cops now.  My wife owns a Red P238 Sig Sauer Lady. It is a Red colored .380 In the wrong hands pointed at a cop would be tragic for the cop if he hesitates thinking it is one of those safe bright toys.

Thanks for expanding on my point, my brother just asked me to post this exact idea!  Too many powder coated guns out there to think a bright gun is safe!  Thanks Again, Ty.

What they will do is ban

What they will do is ban colored guns, except for airguns, and confiscate yours. That is their mentality.
