Thanks for your patience everybody! PractiScore threw us a loop this morning, but we figured it out with Ty's help by phone. In the end everything worked out OK, despite my technical limitations. It was a beautiful day and new shooter EJ said he had a great time shooting pistol.

Thank you volunteers for next month's stages! we will have Mark Hicks on Bay 1, Charlie Severance on bay 2 and Randy Gillum on bay 3.

Excellent Range conditions today as Charlie Severance and I set up our stages. We're going to have an excellent match tomorrow. Squad one and two will be wheel gunners and  squad three consists entirely of bottom feeders! Here is a sneak peek at the early set up of stage 3.

    Wow.  USPSA was a kick!

The stages were challenging and fun. The pace is so much faster than the other shooting disciplines. It's hard to get used to but what a blast! To top it all off, we got home with plenty of time to see the Super Bowl. Thanks Robert for all your work. It turned out great.

The weather was great. I think we had a small turn out because of super bowl. but we were done in time to make the kick off. We had some challenging stages. Thanks to the stage designers and the members who showed up to help with setup. I will be looking forward to seeing you at our next match. Here is a link for scores https://practiscore.com/results/16114

Two squads... 'cause I'm selfish. It gives me a better chance of getting pictures. :-)

A few hiccups... but all-in-all we did good. Great stages... I like when I hear, "Oh CRAP!" OR something more colorful... when a shooter forgets a target [Guilty].

    Amazing things I witnessed today.

    1) A dozen members showing up to help setup.
    2) Evan shooing a SA revolver.
    3) A competitor shooting in sandals.
    4) A first time shooter winning ProdSSP
    5) A very new lady shooter besting her husband on a couple stages (accuracy)
    6) First to the range this morning young Phill Osborn also helping tear down all three bays.
    7) 6 stages that were each shot 30 different ways by everyone.
    8) One of the Moe's having the best day ever and the other winning it all.

It is so great shooting with so many wonderful people.

Great match and the weather was perfect - cloudy turning to sun w/ no sprinkles.  The huge puddle pictured above subsided about 50% by match start   We were able to easily use bay one and three as usual.

Congrats to match Champion Russ Holetz!

    Match Status is GO!

Charlie Severance was kind enough to check out the range conditions, saving me the drive from Chico.  Thanks Charlie!  As the picture below shows, bay one is almost entirely covered by a huge puddle, but bays 2 and 3 have plenty of room to shoot our match. We will just have to use bays 2 and 3.  It will work out fine.

We may have a few sprinkles, but not more than that (if current forecasts are reliable).  I plan to wear layers and will throw in a rain jacket, just in case.  Boots are not a bad idea either.

See you there.  It should be a fun match.

Rimfire update.   The forecast says rain all day Friday and part of Saturday. Sunday supposed to be cloudy with a few showers possible.

We have 13 people registered for Sunday's rimfire match,  11  of whom have paid and squadded. I plan to drive down Saturday late morning to check the range conditions and take pictures. I will make my match announcement regarding the status shortly thereafter. As long as we have enough room  between puddles  on two bays to set up targets and tables, we're going to have a match!

Feel safe registering, as the NVSA has changed it's weather cancellation policy.  If I have to cancel the match because of poor range conditions, all registered shooters will be rolled over to the following month's match. That way, people don't have to re-apply, get approved  and re-squad. Of course, if you can't shoot that match, You can still withdraw and get a full refund on your credit card.
