Another Rain Day!

It looks like the rain is going to be here again on Sunday! Seems like the weather man knows when we hold the IDPA matches. Dang it, I was looking forward to shooting, but all the indications are that the day will be RAINY! angry

Bite your tongue.crying

Another reason for an alternate Rain Day. Remember your prize table is made up from money collected throughout the year. No Shoot no money. Looks like next years prize table might just be pens, and stickers. <jk>

I had a ball today. It was a bit iffy now and then, but for the most part the rain held off. I would like to express my appreciation to Charlie and whoever helped him to get the stages set up on Saturday. That was just great and sure made it easy to get started today. Next time, a note posted on here about it and I'll try and get up there and give you a hand. Anyway, had a great time and got to yak with some wonderful people, even if I shot very poorly. But that never diminishes the fun!

Lynn,  I don't think

Lynn,

I don't think anybody shot their best today.  Those conditions were fun, but a bit distracting.... what with the targets covered in plastic bags most of the day, the wind, the lightening, the thunder, the hail, the bees...  Thinking back to it, we were lucky to get off the range alive!

... or is my memory blowing things out of proportion?  Isn't that they way you remember it?

I had a good time too.  It was a good warm - up for the CA State Championships this coming weekend.  My plan is to finish somewhere in the middle of my SSP division, win a gun off the prize table, win the 4x4 Post shoot and try like hell not to finish DFL on the man-on-man steel competition.

Good luck to all of the NVSA shooters who will be competing.  See ya down there.

Yep Barr, that's the way I saw it. Lucky to come off the course alive with all the lightning and potential tornados. smiley

Hey, when are most of you guys shooting down at Richmond? I'm considering driving down for the day just to watch.

Those of us who are Range

Those of us who are Range Officers will shoot friday morning, then run the 100+ shooters on Saturday.  Saturday would be the best day to see some shooting, cause they don't want non ROs on the range "checking out" the stages on Friday.  The Man on Man steel and Post shoots on Sunday would be fun to see too. That stuff starts about 0900 on Sunday.  Smoke and splintering pine in the morning, hot brass flying.  It's a hoot.

Next year, you'll be shootin' it yourself.

Take 'er easy, Lynn

Glad you guys got it in.  I

Glad you guys got it in.  I had my stuff ready to go.  I had to work overtime yesterday and with being gone next weekend for the state match, I just had to get a couple of things done to keep the wife happy.  I did go down to Richmond a couple of months ago to get classified since I wasn't currently classified in CDP.  I'll see you guys down in Richmond, Saturday.  Mark Hicks
