Got it now, looks fun. Now I

Got it now, looks fun. Now I have a couple of questions, and remember, I"ve never shot IDPA before, so they may be stupid questions.

You dont have any distances posted on any of the 4 stages. Is this normal or an oversight?

On Stage 1, you make no mention of T5 and T6. I think this is an oversight.

On Stage 2, you mention that the Safety Officer must wash our for people rushing P2 or P3. I guess I just don't understand what you are getting at.

On Stage 3, what is an up-down target? I'm assuming PP1 is a steel target that falls when hit?

Your right I don't have any

Your right I don't have any distances.  Because ......I haven't made up my mind. Its a basic layout, I figure the rest as I set it up. I cant visualize distances well.

1) your right it is an oversight. I will correct it should read.

STAGE PROCEDURE: Starting at P1. Turn and fire 2 rounds at T1-T4 While moving to cover at P2. From P2 engage T5&6 from either side of barrel

2) It should read:

Safety Officer must watch our for people rushing P2 or P3.

In IDPA you are not allowed to move in front of a target that has not been engaged. While at P1 you will turn shoot T1. Then you may move to either P2, Or P3 Shooters choice. No matter which way you go you will at some point be exposed to either T4 or T5. Because you cannot run to P2 or P3 without exposing yourself you will have to use the wall as you approach you next shooting position carefully without  exposing more than 50% of your upper torso and 100% of your lower half.

So basically because shooting T1 and going to your second position will happen so fast the SO will not have time to yell cover and you to correct. That is why I put the note to SO's in there. Will explain more Sunday.

3) An up and down target is the Jack in the box target. It rises up and exposes a threat target then drops. The PP1 will be the activator for the Up Down target. Shoot PP1 and a cable pulls the release on the up and down target.

See you Sunday.
