The NVSA now has a horse.  I built it yesterday as a prop for this month's IDPA stage that my Dad and I have designed.  It's hecka stout, so it should last for years..  Now I just have to complete the head....

Looking forward to Sunday!

Left handed 1911 5" holster

Left handed 1911 5" holster needed! If anyone has one they can lend our friend Rick for the match tomorrow that would be great. He only has a Serpa and we know that's a no-no. Thanks in advance. Tim.

Phill is bringing a horse

Phill is bringing a horse blanket for the horse on stage 3...  Plus, I used the belt sander to smooth the top and round the edges..

We'll be riding in comfort!

Sorry.  I have lot's of 1911 holsters, but they're all for righties...

Results are posted. What a

Results are posted. What a day!  50 shooters starting the match with 2 who had to leave early and did not finish.  The warm weather did not seem to keep folks away.

Congratulations to Match Champion Javier Lopez and to 2nd overall, less than a second back, Larry Sams.  It was quite a day.

We didn't get any nominations for Club officers, but I encourage you to think hard and nominate somebody...  You may even nominate yourself!

I liked that stage. The

I liked that stage. The number of FTN's is a direct result of competition shooters not balancing speed over accuracy when it matters. That stage is a better representation of the clubs abilities to neutralize a threat than any other. I do feel though if you are going to limit the number of shot allowed then it becomes a drill and no FTN. But hey that is just one mans idea. I have been know to limit rounds and issue FTN's  so I am just as guilty.  I hope to see more accuracy based stages in the future. The club as a whole needs to slow down and make their hits.

If I had been thinking more

If I had been thinking more clearly, I would have suggested to the stage designer, Don Barr, that there be no FTNs..  It was intended to be a fun stage, but it came off feeling a bit overzealous..  Maybe punitive is a better descriptor..

Oh, did I mention?  This stage KILLED my match!  I guess it's the ol' Stage designer's son's curse...

Still trying,

Mark Barr
