This Sunday will be warm. Arron Moe and DAve Gunsauls will be our designers this month. We have 4 stages planned for Sunday. Our match will be starting at 9:00 AM we will not register anyone after the shooter meeting begins @ 8:45. Please arrive by 8:15 to get registered and ready. Those who wish to help please arrive at 7:am to lend your hand.

Gate cards expire June 30th 2014. If you have not picked up your new card you will need to arrive early to get yours. Attendees of NVSA need to purchase a gate access RFID card from the City of Gridley to gain access through the gate. Gate access is controlled by the city. If you arrive early you can have another shooter help you get through by borrowing their card. Members typically arrive prior to 8:30 so don't delay. Also DO NOT TAILGATE through the electronic gate. You will strike the gate. The gate is set to come down on the second vehicle. Please follow these instructions exactly to get your access card. Please do exactly as instructed. Read everything. We do not want to loose the special privilege we are getting for Sunday morning card pickup.

Finally Please show up early to help setup. All setup is done the morning of the event. We start setup at 7:00 and registration begins at 8:00-8:15 We will start shooting at 9:00am. Registration closes at 8::45. Please be polite and courteous and show up early.

        Thanks Aaron and

Thanks Aaron and Dave.  That was fun.  Also I want to thank everyone for welcoming my wife Kerry.  This was her first match of any kind.  She had so much fun.   She was nervous as heck, but listened to advise and got through the match.  Kerry really enjoyed talking to everyone and watching the other shooters.  She was impressed.  She is really excited to continue and plans on shooting IDPA and the BUG match.  She wants to improve.   The rest of the day after the match she continued to comment about how much fun she had and how nice everyone was.  Of course this was no surprise to me.

I'm hoping that this will encourage my daughters and their husbands to come on out, too.  After helping with setup, shooting, picking up brass and helping put everything away,  Kerry told me that now she understands why I sometimes come home and plop down in a chair.  In the past when I got home pooped, she would tease me and say,  "Oh, you've just been out playing all day.".  Now she knows that there is some work involved, by a lot of people to have a match.   See you next match,  Mark and Kerry

Just keep having these

Just keep having these matches and one of these days I['ll be healthy enough to attend one. I'm set for Knee replacement on Monday Aug 11,so it's going to be awhile before I'll be out there again. The knee has been keeping me away as it is,but with the replacement I'm not even sure how long the rehab period will be. I hear it vcan be several months or more. Gonna kinda screw jup my deer hunting this year too.
