CRPA 2012 Annual Family Fun Shoot

Here's two special announcements regarding our upcoming CRPA Family Fun Shoot on Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 9 AM to 6 PM at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center near Sloughhouse, California.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! If you've ever thought about assisting your CRPA with a major event, here's your chance... We will need at least 70 volunteers to assist with parking, set-up, take down, Range Safety Officers and Assistants (You don't have to be "certified" but experience such as being an Appleseed Instructor would work. Please contact CRPA Board member Jacob Rascon at j.rascon@crpa.org if you can give us some time Friday 8/24 and/or Saturday 8/25. All volunteers will enjoy FREE admission to the event, a FREE lunch, a FREE shirt, and entries into a special firearms giveaway just for volunteers.

Can't volunteer? At least plan to attend this important event and spread the word! Here's some of the latest developments regarding this major CRPA event:

FREE Admission for CRPA members and FREE Lunch for the first 400 CRPA members. FREE Admission for all children, age 17 and younger. Adult admission for Non-CRPA members is $15.00 and lunch for Non-CRPA members is $10.00 for those 13 years of age and older and $5.00 for children 12 years and younger. YOU CAN JOIN CRPA ONSITE AND ENJOY FREE ADMISSION AND FREE LUNCH!

Three GUN GIVEAWAYS will take place. GUN GIVEAWAY #1: All existing CRPA members will receive two FREE entries at registration. GUN GIVEAWAY #2: All NEW CRPA members who join that day will receive two FREE entries at registration. GUN GIVEAWAY #3: All children (17 and under) will receive entries for Air Guns and Air Rifles.

Sportsmen's Warehouse will be conducting FREE clinics at the CRPA Family Fun Shoot in a cooled tent, including:

  • 10 AM - Firearms Safety
  • 11 AM - Reloading
  • 2 PM - Long Range Shooting
  • 3 PM - Building your own AR-15 (California Compliant)

Springfield, Ruger, Browning, Glock, Franklin Armory, Smith & Wesson, Bennelli, Pyramyd, Crosman, DGS and several other manufacturers have been invited to attend and present their latest and greatest new products which you can shoot.

For your shooting pleasure, seven shooting bays will feature:

  • Children's .22 Rifle Range
  • Ruger Rim Fire - FREE Try Out - All day
  • Pistol Competition - FREE Try Out - All day
  • Large Air Gun range - Presented by DGS and Pyramyd - All day
  • SASS Shady Ladies Competition (Till 12 PM Noon) Observe Only
  • Pay-to-shoot Class 3 firearms: ADULTS ONLY - MP5, suppressed SBR, full auto CSW - (beginning at 12:30 PM)
  • Shotgun Instruction/Exhibition - Trap and Skeet Range - All day
  • Sportsmen's Warehouse Manufacturer's Shooting Bay - Four to five firearms manufacturers will be displaying their latest and greatest for you to test drive. FREE Try Out- All day
  • Silhouette Range Venue - FREE Try Out - All day

Additional ammo for most shooting bays may be purchased.

FREE parking!

Ear and Eye protection is mandatory... FREE ear protection will be provided to all attendees and eye protection will be available for sale.

Large Cooling Tents and FREE cold water available all day.

Security, EMT's, ample porta-potties and sinks available on site.
