Video will be up in the AM. And Yes once again Brian schooled us. Those knockdowns will continue to be fun fun fun..
"If you plan to leave early, please arrive early to help set up. If you arrive late, please stay late to help take down. If you plan to arrive late and leave early, please do your shooting someplace else."
Dang, sure wish I would have been able to shoot today. I'm really looking forward to the video's tomorrow. And congratulations to Brian! Nice going buddy.
We missed your smilin' face, Lynn. I hope you can join us this coming Sunday..
Thanks for getting it posted. I watch Brian's videos and try to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I think I've finally figured it out!
- much faster moving
- a little more accurate
- much faster reloading
- much more stylish with the jersey
Other than these small things, I could be a match winner! Short of him suffering a severe accident, the best I can hope for is 2nd place.... That's OK with me..
Your clearly have a ICORE scores hotline Im unaware of. Care to share some results with the rest of us.
I don't have any results yet. I just recall that Brian was a little more accurate than me on each stage and his times on the videos was about 5 secs faster than me on each stage...
I am waiting just like everyone else for the official results.
- much faster moving Yep, my raw time was 31.14 seconds faster!
- a little more accurate Nope, you got me there. My 13 seconds of points down to your 8!
- much faster reloading See the ground, grasshopper! :-)
- much more stylish with the jersey It's not only my jersey that makes me look so good!
Other than these small things, I could be a match winner! Short of him suffering a severe accident, the best I can hope for is 2nd place.... That's OK with me.. I do ride Motorcycles for a living and do some other things that a dangerous so there's always hope for you!
Wow. I DID get you by 5 seconds on penalty time. Cool.
It gives me just a little hope.
To tell the truth, I don't mind playing Salieri to your Mozart.
The thing that makes it all worth coming back for is the camaraderie and the personal challenge of doing one's best.
Bryan, don't stop wearing your helmet on my account. It wouldn't be near as much fun out there with you in a wheelchair...
I was just ribbing you. You had a great day and I expect you to be in second. Brian may call it first looser. Just remind him that you came in first using a sighting system Horace Smith and Daniel B. Wesson designed a revolver to be shot with.
You bring up a valid point. Folks who are low enough to use an optic in a
really are cheatin' slime dogs. Is that what you meant to say?
I'm not sure I'd go as far as that, Mr Hamby, but you are entitled to your opinion...
Low enough? he-he, no I am only a couple of short years away from converting to open myself. I will not be bashing open anytime soon. Come on Mark the other side is calling.
I'll just ask this one question. If I go back to Limited, what will you guys use as an excuse then?
Brian, Stay in open. there is no better bragging rights than for a 625 with irons beating a 627 open.
Hey Ty, Speaking of hot, is it going to be too hot to shoot this Sunday in Gridley? My forecast says 95 degrees...
That's Hot in my book.
You are right it may be too hot for you. Might I suggest you take the day and spend it with your wife. On Saturday you should take out the boat. Sail around the lake. On Sunday you could hit the spa, complete with a mannie and a peddie. You two deserve it. The weekend should be finished off with some champagne by the pool. Having spent an entire weekend with your better half you should be relaxed and ready for North Valley Rimfire the following weekend. See ya there.
p.s. Have Don call me. I can give him a lift to the range. Im sure its not too hot for him. <hehe>
A Saturday sail sounds great. That's exactly where I'll be. Champagne Sat night? Why not?
I would like to shoot on Sunday. It's still on my "to do" list.. in pencil. However, there is a heat limit for all of us. For some of us, it's 95 degrees. For others the cut off temp is closer to 110 degrees.. Everyone's got a limit.
What's your limit Mr. Hamby? Would you guys go "no matter what"?
Feeling warmer already,
My limit is 93. I wont show up to a match over 93 degree's. Unless there are people there counting on me to take videos. In that case I guess I must take one for the team. SDPS did not see me all summer. Yes I have limits too. NVSA is more likely to see me on a warmer than usual day. I will however make the inaugural North Valley Rimfire Match. That only happens once. (hint-hint).
Well said. Point well taken.
Just a quick point. Don't miss any match that you are able to make, what ever it is. You just never know when you CAN'T make a match for health reasons, regardless of how much you want to make it. Go to every one you can and enjoy it. Trust me on this one!
Well said Lynn! We missed you Sunday! Hope to see you back on the range soon!
Wow. 8 Classic division shooters. I like it. Was there any discussion about doing the postal match next month or possibly October along with the IDPA postal match? Mark Hicks
I don't remember anything being said about September match. Might just as well do the Postal shoot next month. I' can build Stage 2.
