Important Dates - NVSA Banquet, Range Clean Up & More....

Hello All,

There's a couple important upcoming dates!

August 10th - Range Clean-up Day.  We need a bunch of members to come out and help, we'll be cleaning up the range and building, plus organizing the container..  Be there at 8:00am, bring cordless drills,  gloves, rakes, brooms, power washer and hoses.  People attending the clean-up day will be issued tickets for the prize drawing at the banquet (you do not need to be present to win).  There are guns in the drawing and more!

September 15th - Banquet Match & BBQ.  Please note the date change!  We had originally planned to hold the Banquet Match on the First Sunday.  The Board decided to move it back to the original, Third Sunday.

The Banquet match will be a "fun" match for all members (and their guests) shooting any of the 3 disciplines.  We will have stages representing IDPA, ICORE and Rimfire, the stage will be adapted so you can shoot them with handguns from any of them or all 3!  Plus a Tri-Tip BBQ and shoot-off also designed for any of the handguns used in our disciplines.  There will be a RSVP page on the website soon!

ICORE Shooters:  The Midwest ICORE Championship will be in Fallon, NV on September 28th.  Registration is $80.00 only until 8/1 so mail it ASAP, $100.00 after the 1st.  This is a great match, dont miss it!  http://icore.org/pdf/MidwestRegionalEntry_2013.pdf

IDPA Shooters the NEW Rulebook is on the IDPA website under the "Rules" tab in the member section.  It goes into effect October 1, 2013.  So, start reading it now so you'll be ready!

Also the California IDPA State Championship will be October 5th at Sacramento Valley Shooting Center.  This will be a great match and sure to sellout, so get your entry in soon!!  Before September 1st, saves you $25.00!  http://www.sdps-idpa.org/2013/index.html

Great day to be at the range

Great day to be at the range - right at a dozen people showed up, along with 2 pressure washers, and a blower. Cleaned out the trailer and organized it again, cleaned the building and chairs, fixed props and such. Got to watch the start of the range being grated for proper water run off, kind of cool.

Thank all of you who made the effect to come out and help, time went quick, done in 3 hours or less.

With them working on grading

With them working on grading the range, I hope it will be fine for our ICORE match tomorrow..  We're Go for the match... I bought new target sticks, so we should have an easier time with set up.

I had to go to work all day today, but thanks to everybody who showed up to work.  I can't wait to see how it all looks.

Dang, gonna  miss this one.

Dang, gonna  miss this one. I've missed enough already this year, now this one. Got a wedding I have to attend. Can't miss it. A nephew is getting married  and his dad is in the hospital in a coma, so the family is making a push to see nobody else misses it. I agree, so gotta attend. .
