June 12 2011 match

Scores are up here.

For those of you who were not there. It was the "Mark and Brian" in the morning Showcheeky

Brian took #1. I told Mark Barr to watch out here I come. He had another awesome finish. I did better than I thought I did. Finishing higher than I have in the past. I beat for the first time in my ICORE history Mike K. I have been chasing that man since the day I started. even if he was shooting classic. Beating Mike was a huge accomplishment for me.  I guess Mark Barr's tips are finally paying off.

Other notables are Brain K. Nice.... Smoked daddy first time out. Feel free to bring him to the range for some pointers before the next match.

We had Mike G show up today for his first ICORE match. I hope you had fun.

Wendy is enjoying herself. She really liked Stage1 thanks Mark H for that one.

Thanks to all those that setup and provided this fun day. Without the volunteers none of this is possible.

Others feel free to comment on your day.

Thanks to Mark Hicks, Mark

Thanks to Mark Hicks, Mark Barr and Charlie for designing and building Stages 1, 3, & 4 respectively!

Also a BIG THANK YOU to Ty for getting some action shots of me to forward to Rudy Project!

For those of you that don't know, Ty has set up a NVSA facebook page.  Mark Barr has told us he doesn't want or need a Facebook page.  That's to bad, he can't see all the trash talk!

Truth be known I think he hasn't started his FB page because he can't decide on the perfect Profile Picture?  Well I have a couple suggestions!

Ty,  Lets give Brian some

Ty,

Lets give Brian some kind of handicap to give him a challenge.  I think it would be much fairer if he is required to wear flip-flops to the next match.  Then, when he wins that match, we'll tie his right arm behind his back...  Then, we'll make him wear a patch over his right eye...  (no that won't work either).

.... but seriously folks!  Congratulations Mr Gonsalves.  You make your victories the old fashioned way.  You earn them!

I'm proud to be second fiddle in this crowd.....  but I keep striving for first fiddle status.  Brian should feel the heat of the the laser bulles-eye I have painted on his back..  just as I feel the heat of those right on my heels..  That's part of the never ending fun of this sport.

Game on!

Amazing what you can do to a

Amazing what you can do to a REAL photo with digital enhancement...  If you look closely, you can see that my face was pasted into those photos... not a very good paste job either.

Still,  they are mildly amusing.

Lessons to be learned?

1) Don't believe everything you see on Facebook...

2) Vengeance is a dish best served cold...

Ok Here are some suggestions.

  1. a patch over his left eye.
  2. tie his ankles together.
  3. put a halter and lead rope on him.
  4. make him transition positions doing the Mark Barr Signature hop.
  5. shoot with his tongue in his mouth.
  6. curtsey before drawing.
  7. Load full moons with a single inert round in each.
  8. Dog zapper collar in case non compliance with above suggestions.

Once that is done I will then need to put my sights on Mark. surprise

Any more Ideas?

Charlie, You inspired me by

Charlie,

You inspired me by never quitting. I planned on shooting at each plate once if it fell great, if not

take the miss I would be better off on the time. However after watching you I wasn't gonna leave

any standing either. I think I reloaded 3 times getting those darn things to fall.  The dumb thing is

it never even crossed my mind to shoot single action. I think I maxed out the timer also, so just as

a note to the timing people an old fashioned sun dial might work better for me.

I had a great time thanks to all for the advice and support.

Mike, Way to stick with it.

Mike,

Way to stick with it. It is always better to engage the targets till they fall. Not for a better time but to work on long shots under stress. If you move on and take the penalties, you may achieve a higher score, but are you now a better shot? Your accuracy under stress will improve the more you stick with it. It can be frustrating. This is still so much darn fun, why move on.

Great to see new faces. Keep working on areas you struggle at, and enjoy the parts that you are good at. See you soon.
