March 10th ICORE Match

ICORE  RESULTS

Overall Champion: Brian Gonsalves
Open winner: Mark Barr
Limited winner: Brian Gonsalves
Classic winner: Mark Hicks
Top Lady: Alexis Katz
Top Senior: Mark Hicks
Top Super Senior: Ed Vernon

The March 10th ICORE Match on Sunday looks like a fun match. We are trying 5 stages, so bring plenty of ammo. There will be 92 shots minimum.  The stages are posted here.

Daylight savings time is Sunday, so Spring Forward one hour Saturday night.

Be sure to purchase your gate key.  If you do not have one, you may have to get a ride in with a friend that has a key.. or park outside and walk in.  Stage settup starts at 7:00 and registration runs from 8:15 to 8:45.  Shooter's meeting is at 8:50 with first shots immediately to follow.

There is some mud on the range, but Tony Reis is bringing some wood chips to firm it up. Tomorrow's match status is GO!

Fun stages... and DANG THAT

Fun stages... and DANG THAT Tony Reis guy for having a home range to practice on! That, couple with the extra reload necessitated by a missed plate on Stage 1, cost me a place. :-D) Aaand, how about that shooting five stages with building three midstream and getting finished before 1330H?

5 stages. That was great.  I

5 stages. That was great.  I was happy on the stage with the optional steel plate, but sucked on the classifier.  What shooting rotation is everyone signing up for at the IRC.  Friday afternoon/Saturday morning or Friday morning/Saturday afternoon?  I was in the process of signing up and forgot about the two different schedules.  Mark H.

Think most everyone is Friday

Think most everyone is Friday PM/Saturday AM... I'm even considering doing the 1/2 day RO/SO discount.

Even though I shot very

Even though I shot very poorly, I sure did have a good time. Good stages. Enjoyed every one of them.

Only Stage 3 was sub-par...

Only Stage 3 was sub-par...  OK.Maybe I'm biased..  I planned to shoot it one way and changed my mind just before I shot it.  I ended up shooting one target with 2 extra shots and failing to engage one target at all. That earned me 25 seconds of penalty time..  Ouch!

Note to self: Slow down and get your hits, dummy.... and don't change your plan at the last second, stupid..

Oh well.  At least it didn't rain.

Hey Mark, You say 25 seconds

Hey Mark, You say 25 seconds of penalty? I only got you by 19.92. A single edge knick anywhere on the skipped target would have changed everything. Ouch! That has got to hurt..... (in my sarcastic snicker voice)

Just remember some of us never get to smell the fresh air up there at the top where you often dwell. Thanks for providing me an opertunity to sample the air.

Once you see the view from up

Once you see the view from up there, you will most certainly be back! Thank God I have that red dot!
