The NVSA has it's annual Classifier match this Sunday, May 20th.  We are shooting the classifier as a match, so there will be no re-shoots for mental lapses or gun problems (normally allowed in a classifier).

Be sure to bring your membership and classifier cards to the match.  That way, you can have your cards updated and signed by the club president... an annual requirement by  the IDPA rules.  Remember, most big State and Regional matches require proof that you have an up-to-date classifier in the division that you are completing in.

Check you IDPA membership status.  Except for first time shooters, you must be a member of IDPA to shoot in IDPA matches.

Bring plenty of ammo.  This is a 90 round match (no second gun classifiers, please).  Come prepared for temperatures in the mid to high 80s.

The Collin County IDPA Club has a great Classifier Information Page.  Check it out here.

See you on Sunday.

Well, the match went off very

Well, the match went off very well today. We had four squads and it worked out really well. Went fast and sue seems like everyone had a great time. some very nice scores were posted. Congratulationsto the folks who moved up in classification. Or should I be expressing consolences. Charlie was one who shot really well with that revolver. Dang man, you were just doing great. I'm wanting to get a 4" revolver even more after watching you shoot today! Great role model!

Sue,

When I read some of the horror stories you see on the web about people's experiences with shooting clubs, I feel we are very blessed. The first thing that Marie and I noticed when we started with this club was how welcoming and helpful people are. I am glad you feel the same way.

A belt was found after the

A belt was found after the awards ceremony.  I have it in my possession.  If the owner can accurately describe the length, color, brand name, number of holes and the buckle, I will gladly return it.  Otherwise, I will keep it.  Someday, when my sons have kids of their own, it could be a fit for one of them...
