North Valley Rimfire Inaugural Event

Exciting times ahead. The NVSA board has approved the opportunity to start a new shooting discipline. It is called Ruger Rimfire. It is played with rimfire guns .22LR Semi-automatic and manual, pistols and rifles. Did I say Rifles?? Yes!!  We will call our club North Valley Rimfire. It is family and new shooter oriented fun filled sport, emphasis on FUN.

Our First official match will be Sunday September 25th 2011. We will be holding and experimental match on August 28th 2011 to see if there are any gremlins. #1 we wants to keep this FUN. We will start off with 4 stages. We will adjust how we run things as we learn. Please use the forum to make suggestions and ask questions. This will be a learning experience.

The rules are short and sweet. You can read them here. There is no additional membership required. If you are a member of NVSA you will get to shoot at a discounted rate.

NVSA members shoot for $10.00 non members shoot for $20.00 and $5.00 for each extra gun.

Starts will be from the low ready (no holster starts). The rules are light other than some scoring rules and safety rules. There is no age requirement. Must be able to understand range commands, exhibit safe gun handling and have fun.

Watch the below video and see if it is something you might be interested in.

This looks like a great

This looks like a great addition to the club, but I have one question? 17HMR, has its eligibility been considered?  I am very excited by this either way.  Great decision by the board to expand the club to include younger shooters.  My daughter will be very excited as well.
