NVSA Little Gun Match Aug. 30th, 2015
Revolver Champion: Brian Gonsalves
Bug Champion: Mark Barr
Overall Winner: Mark Barr
Most Accurate: Mike Raymond
Stages:

We will be hosting a Defensive Little Gun match on Sunday, August 30th. We are still operating on summer hours, so gates will open at 0600 for stage builders and those desiring to help. Sign-in will start at 0715, new shooter orientation is at  0730, shooters meeting at 0800 and hammers falling shortly thereafter.

Equipment and stage designs will follow the guidelines of the BUG Division as described in the IDPA rule book. We will be using IDPA targets and scoring will be time plus penalties using our PractiScore software. More will be covered in the shooters meeting. We will have six stages. Holsters will be required on some stages, some will require on-the-clock reloads and some will have multiple strings. It should be a fun match with what most folk really tend to carry.

When do stages get published?

When do stages get published?

Brian's "under the car" shots

Brian's "under the car" shots intimidated a lot of people, but all I saw were great hits...was it too low or Perfect?  Any opinions?

Hindsight being 20 20 I

Hindsight being 20 20 I stayed back just a little thinking that would be the trick. After getting all this down on the ground, nope that was not the trick. I could only see the bottom of the -1 zone. I was 7 points down, four of which were those two targets. But to do it again, I would shoot it strong hand only with my arm past the car (barricade) with my head under the CAR. With all that said it was one of my best stages. Only one that was better was stage 4 ranked 4th. Thank you for building the stage!

I was surprised by the huge

I was surprised by the huge cloud of dirt that was stirred up!  The second "under the car" target was partially obscured by flying dust. A good challenge. Right?

"Under the car" target was

"Under the car" target was interesting to say the least. This was my second shoot. I wore shorts this time and got a nasty rug burn on my knee getting down into position (Wah!, Wah!). I didn't do very well shooting my Glock 27 after installing some new sights on it, but I blame it all on "the nut behind the butt", will sort that out at the indoor range-no excuses, it was fun, I hope I skin the other knee next time and shoot a lot straighter.
