NVSA logo contest.

Starting August 10th - September 9 2012. North Valley Shooting Association will be holding a new logo contest. If you have or know someone who has some artistic abilities then sharpen that pencil and submit your design. You do not need to do this on a computer. If you can draw and wish to do it that way then you too are eligible to submit your drawing. All drawings need to be submitted by email (if electronic) or by hand no later than Septembers ICORE match. All submitted designs will be voted on by the members that attend the September BBQ match. Winning design will be announced after the shootout. A single prize (TBD) will be awarded to the winner.. Losers get a round of applause.

Requirements are: Design needs to be sport neutral. Now that our club has IDPA, ICORE, and Ruger Rimfire. We need a logo that screams North Valley Shooting Association and not so much IDPA, ICORE or Rimfire. North Valley has the rights to use, modify, change all designs submitted in any way the current of future webmaster wishes. Designs need to be submitted prior to Sept 9th 2012. Electronic designs need to be high quality in their native formats. (If you use Photoshop send me the *.psd, If you use Corel Draw send me the *.cdr, ect.) All entry's are eligible irregardless of the author. If you can manipulate you Grandchild, friend, or enemy into doing the work for you, you are welcome to take all the credit. We just need people to submit their designs promptly. Time is running out so get those creative juices flowing and give a little back to your club.

email entry's to ty(at)nvsa(dot)info

Good luck!

No T-shirts this year. Does not look like we may even get a new logo if no one is going to submit one.

A friend will bail you out of jail ,,, A true friend will be there sitting next to you saying "Damn, that was fun!"

Dave, You must be talking

Dave,

You must be talking about this one.

This one is also in the running. Hmm? I wonder who did this one? We will have to see.. I am hoping a lot more members will submit logos, or at least delegate forced child labor to design a new logo for them.

I also want to remind everyone that a logo does not have to contain words. Sometimes words are part of the brand or can be used to associate the logo directly to an organization. Great logos do not need any text. We all know what they are. Think Nike or McDonalds. Does the golden arches need to say McDonalds for you to recognize it? Does the Nike Swoosh on the side of a shoe leave doubt as to who made the shoe?

NVSA is just looking for ideas that can be used for future apparel and print media. I hope we can pool everyone together to gather great ideas.

I like it. Represents all

I like it. Represents all disciplines equally. Looks pretty too. Very nice. How about credit to the person or persons who came up with the idea.
