October 14, Sunday ICORE match

ICORE Update: RESULTS here

Overall Champion: Mark Barr
Open winner: Mark Barr
Limited winner: Ty Hamby
Classic winner: Scott Frazier
High Lady: Alexis Katz
High Senior: Scott Fraizer
High Super Senior: Mike Kern

We will be shooting the ICORE postal match this Sunday.  Brian has printed up copies of the stage designs with measurements converted for ease in setting up.  Those of us setting up, or helping to setup stages need to be at the front gate before 7:15.  We still have the construction going on, so all others can get through the gate between 8:15 and 8:55.

They have of course removed the middle berm.  We will adjust what we need to do to safely complete all 4 stages.  We need to limit driving on the flat graded areas so that they aren't messed up. We also may have to alter where allowable parking will be.  It's supposed to be a little warmer, but should still be cool in the morning.  We had a great turnout of NVSA shooters at the Midwest Regional in Fernley, NV.  You'll hear more about it at the match.  See you there, Sunday morning.  Mark H.

The road into the range is

The road into the range is all ready for them to do the asphalt work.  They are letting us have access for our match.  Everyone needs to drive in as slowly and carefully as possible.  We will inform everyone at the gate also.  Hopefully this will all be completed soon.  Mark H.

Fun match today..  Perfect

Fun match today..  Perfect weather and we worked around the range construction just fine.  Did anyone else notice the strange acoustic echo after each shot fired?  The bowl shape of the range and the tractor ridges arranged up each berm results in a report that sounds just like you've hit a barbed wire fence.  Weird.

Check it out in this video of Don Barr shooting stage 2.

I would like to thank Molly

I would like to thank Molly Smith for not shooting today. This allowed me to finish well in the limited class.cheeky
