I"ve got two rimfire pistols that I'm considering using in the upcoming Rimfire matches. I figured I had better see how they shoot. Been awhile since I've shot either one of them. I have a Ruger 22/45 with 5" barrel and a Browning Buckmark with a 7 1/2" barrel and a 5" barrel. I'm glad I took them out. Not because there was anything wrong, it's just that they are so darned much fun to shoot. I had purchased a few extra mags for the Browning so I wanted to use them to be sure there were no malfunctions. Nope, not a one. Both guns performed just the way they should, with no malfunctions of any kind. I also feel better knowing they are both shooting to point of aim just like they should.
I have to get up to my cabin and get my 10/22 picked up. I am also going to have to change the barrel on it. Right now I have a bull barrel with a scope mounted up, and I want to get the stock barrel with iron sights back on it. I'll probably be getting up there within the next couple of weeks so I'll have it ready to go for the matches.
I'm sure looking forward to the Rimfire matches. They sound like a lot of fun. I'm going to try and get my son to bring his rimfires out and join us too. He has been too busy for the IDPA matches, but maybe he can start squeezing in some matches around work. I keep telling him he's got to relax a bit, but he never does.
