Targets

I'm interested in getting some official targets for practice. What do you all do and what do you suggest?

Shop around. I This is where

Shop around. I This is where I last got a box on 100 from. The first time I bought some I got dinged on shipping. This place is a couple of bucks more but I spent less on shipping because there are in Ca.

It is possible also to just by real size paper ones instead of cardboard. Cheaper and you can just put up over the same worn out cardboard one.

What does the club do with

What does the club do with the ones they have used in a match? Could those be used in conjunction with the paper targets?

What! you haven't been taking

What! you haven't been taking the expired targets home?

Typically the targets that don't go back in the trailer at the end of the day go into the garbage. I see no issue with anyone taking the well used ones home. The ones with just a few holes go back in the trailer to be reused.

To answer your question: Yes the used Idpa targets would work well with the paper. The paper ones do not last as long as the cardboard ones. Your own pack of 10 cardboard targets, with a role of tape could last a single shooter a while.

Thanks Ty. Now I'll have to

Thanks Ty. Now I'll have to decide if I'm willing to spend $60 for 100 cardboard targets, plus what ever the shipping is, vs $25 for 100 paper targets plus shipping. Hummmmmm.

I got a box of the paper IDPA

I got a box of the paper IDPA targets and they work fine.  I have picked up a few of the used cardboard targets at matches and staple the paper targets over them.  Mark

For the difference in price I think that's what I'm going to do.

I have ordered some paper

I have ordered some paper targets, and I've committed to buy some cardboard ones from Ty. My problem is I'm heading to my cabin for a week and don't have any. Can someone please give me the size of the -0 area on the target. I'll just use that for now. Also, what is the heigth and width of the -1 area. I've got some cardboard and I can draw those dimensions out and make them work for now. Thanks.

No, that wouldn't really do

No, that wouldn't really do me any good as I'm not going to be here. I'll be at my cabin. That is exactly what I was looking for, many thanks. I'll see you at the ICORE match.

Dang, what a dummy, I just found it in the IDPA rule book. I should have known it was going to be in there. DUH.
